Nice apartment with lots of comfort, friendly host (bottle of wine as a welcome greet), spotlessly clean, fair price. Absoutely recommandable.

"Great apartment in Split"
Przez Wanda (Copenhagen, Dania), March 2011
We had a great introduction to Croatia thanks in large part to the fact that we stayed the first 2 nights in the apartment Margarita. The apartment is charming and the location is perfect. Julijana, the owner, was incredibly helpful - she met us @ the airport bus and helped us get our delayed luggage. We will be reccomending the apartment to all visitors to Split!

Homely Studio apartment - Close to Everything.
Przez . (Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia), May 2010
We stayed at apartment Margarita for 2 nights late May. Julijana met us at the bus and walked us to the apt giving us information needed and a bit of history on the way (approx 10min easy walk).
The apartment had everything we could wish for and more. Julijana's finishing touches made it a joy for us to stay here and everything we could have needed was supplied. We have stayed in a few apartments in Croatia and this is one we definately recommend for 2-3 people as it is close to everything. The apartment is light and airy and has glimpses of the Promenade. Restaurant Fife (a 30 second walk away) is definately recommended by us as well for a true Croatian meal with friendly hosts. Julijana truly is a wonderful hostess and we will stay here again on our next visit to Splendid Split.

Couldn't have chosen a better place - superb
Przez Santos (Bath, Wielka Brytania), January 2010
I am sad to be just getting round to writing this review now (7 months after) when I wrote one about the inferior luxury hotel in Dubrovnik virtually straight away.

Perhaps I thought this place doesn't need a good review - either way, I've been lazy.

We (partner and I) stayed just over a week at this great apartment. A cleaner place you won't find. The welcome off the bus from Dubrovnik (an authentic cultural experience in itself!) was great as we got some good tips from Julijana on the fairly walk over.

The apartment is extremely well appointed in what I would say is very charming Croatian style from the fully equipped kitchenette to the bathroom. It was lovely having breakfast by the window listening to the sounds below of Old Town Split waking up.

There are some great places to eat within 100 yards, some within 10! We tried most and were not disappointed - all good value (although the service is quite relaxed in some, a nightmare to get a dessert and coffee sometimes).

There's 1 or 2 convenience stores handily nearby too (less than 5 mins walk) so we always did our own breakfast and sometimes lunch. A nice wine store or two as well and there are some very good Croatian wines to test.

The area is safe, very safe and handy for the Diocletian's Palace, ferry terminal, airport bus and the few small beaches. I caught a couple of Hajduk games while there and it took about 20 mins to walk there - Split seems a very compact city. We never used a bus once.
The market by the way is simply amazing, and again, close by the apartment. A larger one I haven't seen selling local produce (cheeses, meats, fruit and vegetables) as well as clothing, footwear.

To put into context, the apartment is 1 minute to the sea front; 5-10 mins walk to the centre of the Palace and maybe 10-15 mins walk to the market - but on the way you are walking past all the life on the Riva so it doesn't feel like anything at all.

The one time I needed Julijana she was very helpful (I'd forgotten the safe combination).

It was our home for a week and I could have stayed there months - ideal location, everything you would normally want in a place and a lovely host.

Everything it says it has and does in the ad will be correct and working. Julijana is a lady of high integrity and you should not overlook this place if you're looking for a nice stay in the Old Town.

Margarita Apartments
Przez K Donlan (Newcastle Upon Tyne, Wielka Brytania), August 2009
This is a light, airy, clean apartment within central Split, very close to the Palace and markets, and within walking distance of beaches and ferry links. It is a perfect size for 2 adults and one or two children, and the cooking, sleeping and washing facilities are excellent. Julijana is a great host who will meet you at the bus and show you to the apartment, advising on places to visit and less busy beaches to spend a day at. She even let us stay in the apartment past the check-out time, which gave us an extra day's holiday. Split is a wonderful city to visit, full of history and character. We spent a week getting lost in the maze of streets within Diocletian's Palace and were discovering new places even on the last day. We loved the Green Market for the buzz and for buying bread, cheese and fruit to eat on the beach. Many thanks to Julijana for providing a wonderful base to explore Split. We are even considering returning with our new baby sometime next year!

Apartment Margarita
Przez matt (Toronto, Kanada), July 2009
I thought the place was in excellent shape, very clean, has everything you need, and the location is great, about a 3 min walk to the Riva in Split, i would definitely stay there again when i do come back to split.

Fantastic
Przez Sailing Kiwis (New Zealand, Nowa Zelandia), July 2009
We arrive on a day experiencing 35deg. We missed the bus from Split Airport and had to take a taxi to the town centre as Julijana had emailed me -she would be meeting us at the town centre bus stop. (No cars permitted in the town)Everyone had left the bus and Julijana was still looking for us.(What a girl) The apartment is immaculate and beautifully presented. Everything that you could want is provided . The location at the edge of the square is within walking distant to everywhere.
Julijana is an honest, trustworthy and a lovely lady. We would have loved to spend longer but our schedule only gave us three days in Split.

Perfect Apartment
Przez Marzena (Manchester, Wielka Brytania), June 2009
Margarita is located in the centre of Split, it offers you a great access to the promanade and the palace. it's not huge but big enough for 3 adults and is amazingly equiped. you can find absolutely everything in there what you may need during your stay in Split. from washing powder to milk. i would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Studio
Przez NanaL (Los Angeles, California, Stany Zjednoczone), April 2009
My husband and I spent three nights at Apartment Margarita. It was perfect for us. Julijana is a wonderful hostess and has thought of every little thing a traveler would need and supplied it. The location couldn't be better -- right off the harbor and a short walk down that Riva to the Diocletian's Palace, the ferry terminal, the bus stop and many great restaurants. Even though the apartment is in the middle of everything, it was quiet at night. Thanks to Julijana for offering such a "class act" lodging.

A sweet appartment with a very friendly manager
Przez Vesna_b (Zagreb, Chorwacja), May 2008
This was a very cute and lovingly furnished apartment with an excellent location, literally steps away from the Riva, and the oldest part of Split. The old house it is situated in gave it charm, as did the luxurious garden in front. The apartment itself however is perfectly modernized, with all the appliances (incl. the A/C) you might need.
It is not large, but everything we could think of was provided for. What we loved most was the warm welcome we have received.
I definitely recommend this vacation home and hope to stay there again some time.
